R/C Boat Racing
Radio controlled model boats vary in size, engine displacement and
hull types. Speeds range from 45 mph for a typical 3.5cc Outboard
Tunnel boat, which are ideal for beginners, to nearly 95 mph for the
larger classes of hydroplanes. The 1/8 Scale Hydroplanes are miniature
versions of Unlimited Hydroplanes and must be built to scale and must
bear the same paint schemes to make them look as realistic as possible
while racing. Races are won by accumulating points in heats that
